Ready to be brushed

I keep telling myself that I have to make a progress with my watercolour skill so I looked around finding something as a model and these things catched my eyes.

and for two and a half hours...I got this...

I don't quite like my (whatever)technique. It looks a bit dry and dead. It's not the way watercolour seemed to be, is it? It always comes out like this whenever I paint with watercolour...

Anyway,... I like it!
